SMS Program Overview
Chariot is a mobility and ride-hailing platform. This campaign sends: (1) One-Time Passwords (OTP) for account verification (sign-up, sign-in, password reset) and (2) transactional notifications directly related to user-initiated activity (ride requested, driver assigned/arrived, trip started/ended, payment/receipt updates). No marketing or promotional content is sent.
Message Flow (User-Initiated Only)
Messages are sent only after a user action in the Chariot apps (e.g., tap “Log in / Sign up” to request OTP, request a ride, receive trip status updates, and payment/receipt notifications after trip completion).
How users opt in (in-app)
Users provide their mobile number and consent in the Chariot app during sign-up, sign-in, or when requesting an OTP. The opt-in disclosure is shown at the point of phone number collection and states:
